The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of organic matter content on the soil aggregation and water stable aggregate. Three soil, having different organic matter content, were used. The following summarizes were the findings and conclusions from the study: (1) The organic matter content enhances the amount of water stable aggregates and average size of the aggregates (means weight-diameter). (2) The organic matter content enhances the water retention by the soil. The differences are higher at low values of matric suction (0-1 bar). (3) Organic matter content in dry soil makes it water repellent
