The subject and development of a management decision n support system based on a mathematical programming model for leading farms is discussed in this paper. Although many varieties of mathematical programming models, such as linear, goal, and risk programming, have been developed and applied to a wide range of managerial problems in farm management, these models are not widely used in actual farm practice. However, some agricultural extension staff and farmers recently have shown interest in a mathematical programming approach for farm decision support. For practical use of mathematical programming models at the farm level, what is needed is computer software which supports the function of semi-automatic model formulation and easy coefficients calculation, as well as the development of a model formulation base and a model coefficients data base. Integration of crop and operations models are also needed to obtain model coefficients, yield, quality and operation efficiency of new cr
