This is the first report on an alloy coastal fishing catamaran, that was built with subsidies of the Japanese Fisheries Agency. In this report, we present following items: 1) design characteristics and operational conditions of an actual ship, 2) resistance in calm waters and motions in head waves by model experiments, and 3) ship motions and sea loads in oblique waves by s a strip method, which is known as the NSM (New Strip Method) with 2-dimensional hydrodynamic forces calculated by Frank's close-fit method without wave interactions between both demi-hulls
