During a 10 months period investigations were carried out on cows of the Latvian Brown breed to compare the influence of three different mineral additives on the productivity of cows and quality of milk. The data on the cow productivity, obtained during 300 days (150x2) of the wintering period, show that the milk yield to cows fed mineral additives with macro- and microelement complexes has been 495-735 kg higher than that of the control group cows which received Na, Cl, Ca and P containing mineral additives without the complex of microelements. The feeding of mineral premixes has led to an increase of Ca, Zn and Cu content, not exceeding the allowable level.
