Content of mineral forms of nitrogen and reaction of ground waters in the Vistula Zylawy region were investigated in years 1994-98. Vistula Zulawy in comparison to other Poland's regions is more susceptible to ground water pollutions particularly with nitrogen coming from agricultural sources. It is an effect of physical properties of soils, high dynamics of water circulation in polder conidtions and intensive agricultural production in the region. Water was sampled from 9 chosen meadow and arable lands. Way of cultivation, especially nitrogen fertilization, was taken into account
