The life cycle - colony initiation is described, from diapause of bumblebee queen up to the formation of a new colony. The development and duration of individual stages of brood; egg, larvae, pupa up to the emergence of adult bumblebee. The construction of nest, and the building of different wax - pollen structures for the purpose of food storage and brood. The effect of the invasion of nematode Sphaerularia bombi on post hibernation behaviour of bumblebee queen.
