Comparison of various digestion methods of plant samples for phosphorus content determination

Three methods, Kjeldahl, tri acid and dry ashing, for digestion of plant samples for phosphorus content determination were compared. Nine plant samples with different phosphorus content were analyzed. The results indicated that these methods showed no different in phosphorus content in each sample with highly significant correlation among them.
