Quantitative analysis of andrographolide compound in Andrographis paniculata were determined by high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC). The procedure utilizes reversed phase chromatographic column with detection by UV. Absorption at 254 nm. Identification of expected peaked in the methanol crude extracts were accomplished by fortifying samples with authetic compounds. Eight andrographis paniculata varieties collected from 8 provinces in the different part of Thailand were planted at Kow Hin Sorn horticulural experiment station at Aumphor Panomsarakarm, ChachoengSao province. Analysis of andrographolide content in methanol crude extract from the plant leaves and also from the plant leaves and branches of Kanchanaburi variety contained the highest content 10.14 22.20 percent of andrographolide whereas the leaves extract of variety from Nakornsrithammaraj and the leaves and branchs extract of the variety from Phetchaburi contained the lowest content of all varieties. It should be noted that andrographolide contented in the leave and branch extracts are higher than in the extract of the leaves only in all varieties. Field experiment study to investigate effect of NPK fertilizer on the content of andrographolide was conducted at Kow Hin Sorn horticulural experiment station at Aumphor Panomsarakarm, ChachoengSao province using urea (46-0-0) as nitrogen source, P2O5 (0-46-0) as phosphorus sources and K2O (0-0-46) as potassium sources. The amounts of urea, P2O5 and K2O used in this study were 0, 6, 12 kg/rai, 0, 3, 6 kg/rai respectively. 27 Fertilizer treatments in different ratio were used in our experiments. The result of study revealed that when this plant were grown with the NPK ratio 0-3-6 and 0-6-0 gave the highest (31.61 percent) and second highest (30.20 percent) content of andrographolide respectively. Whereas the 6-0-0 ratio resulted in the lowest content of andrographolide (0.22 percent). It should be noted that all treatment which contained N ratio 12 kg/rai gave very high content of andrographolide (more than 22 percent) except the 12-6-0 ratio.
