Relationships among level of colonization of Aspergillus flavus and aflatoxin content and various characters of peanut lines namely; yield, yield components, seed and seedcoat characteristics days to flowering and maturity and chemical components of seed in seed of 20 peanut lines were studied. There was no significant correlation coefficients among level of colonization of Aspergillus flavus, aflatoxin concentration and other characters of peanut lines. However, the correlation coefficients between aflatoxin content and other characters were higher in almost of the peanut characteristics studied than those between level of colonization of Aspergillus flavus and other characters. The rather high correlation coefficients were found between days to flowering and aflatoxin content and between tannin content in seed coat and level of colonization of Aspergillus flavus, -0.4205 and -0.4157 respectively.
