Effect of watershed classification on potential surface flow of three representative watersheds: Case study at Maetaeng, Chern and Klong Yan watersheds
1997
Nirun Kongritti
Effect of watershed classification on potential surface flow was carried out at three representative watersheds within at Maetaeng, Chern and Klong Yan watersheds. The study was emphasis on streamflow, forest area, precipitation, catchment area and proportion of watershed class which were effect by different parameters; i.e., Correlation Matrix and Stepwise Regression. The results forward that the annual streamflow of Klong Yan Watershed was the highest and followed by Maetaeng Watershed and Chern Watershed respectively. The relationship between annual streamflow and proportion of watershed class of three watersheds showed positive relation to WSC3, WSC5, and rainfall respectively. Annual streamflow was influenced by rainfall while WSC3 and WSC5 showed higher relationship to wet flow then rainfall amount. The amount of rainfall showed more relationship with dry flow than WSC2.
