Experiment on using polyethylene net and iron pipe which coated with zinc replaced of wood to make cages for fish culture in Nan-river, was used 18 months (20, March, 1992 to 20, September, 1993) for doing this project. According to do this project, the summary of results of this project was indicated as 6 items as these:- (1) All prices of capitals that were used in doing one cage which composed of polyethylene net and iron pipe and using 4 oil tanks for making buoyer of one cage, which had 3 metres in width, 3 metres in length and 2 metres in depth; was average about 7,790 bahts (2) The result of studying on ages of using polyethylene net and iron pipe for making cage for culturing of Taepow fish was appeared that; after culturing of Taepow fish about 600 fishes in one cage which constructed by using this two materials for 18 months long then these two materials still endured like the first time that were used in building the cage. These two materials can be used in building the cage for culturing fishes in the river and have age more than two years and can be used on fish culture in the cages for many times in the next years along. (3) The result on study of growth rates of Taepow fish (Pangasius larnaudii Bocourt) which were cultured in the cages in Nan-river about 18 months long appeared that the size of Taepow fishes were increased from the first time that had been stocked in the cage about 28.45 centimetres in length and 504.38 grams in weight per one fish. (4) The survival rate of Taepow fishes after cultured in the cage 18 months long in Nan-river was 97.17 percent per cage. (5) The average production of Taepow fish per one cage after cultured in the cage 18 months long was 324.67 kgs per cage. And the average income from selling Taepow fishes per cage after cultured in the cage 18 months long was 15,583.92 bahts per cage. (6) The conclusion of results of culturing Taepow fish in one cage for 18 months long was found that all capital which composed of capital of building the cage, capital of buying fingerlings of Taepow fish, and capital of buying food for feed Taepow fishes; was about 42,858.47 bahts per cage; and the income of selling all Taepow-fishes per cage after had been cultured in the cage 18 months long was 15,583.92 bahts per cage. So, after taking all incomes from selling Taepow fishes in one cage and minused with all capitals that were used for culturing Taepow fishes in one cage about 18 months long; it was appeared that the answer was losing money about 27, 274.55 bahts per cage.
