In the present study, we investigated the effect of plant growth hormones on Chlorella pyrenoidosa cell number. Cells grown in a medium which was prepared with the Chlorella pyrenoidosa crude extracts showed noticeable acceleration in cell division. The cell number increased wish increasing concentrations of BA from 1 to 100 mg/l. Using IAA (10 mg/l), NAA (0.1; 1; 10 mg/l), GA3 (1; 10; 100 mg/l) and BA (1; 10; 100 mg/l) showed the presence and the roles of auxins, gibberellins and cytokinins in Chlorella pyrenoidosa
