Research on using herbicides on cotton in Dong Nai in 1997

The trial was canied out in Long Thanh - Dong Nai province in 1997 to evaluate effect of herbicides of doses and number spraying on weeds, cotton and some major of predators. The result showed that: Ametrex 80WP with doses from 1.5 - 2.0 kg/ha were sprayed only one time before sowing 7 - 10 days to control weeds which had high efficacy and lasted more than 60 DAT in all herbicides treated. In this, Ametrex 80WP 1.5 kg/ha spraying one time before sowing had high effect economic and decreased labors for weed control. Using herbicides before sowing and directional between rows on cotton have no adverse effect to growth and yield of cotton as so as some predators.
