For classifying road surface in forest logging area, it is needed to ascertain its roughness. But in practice there was'nt an instrument for these purposes. The author of paper presented an apparatus, composed of an instrument for measuring roughness connected with Spider-S. The newly made roughness measuring apparatus permits to define some characteristics of road surface and set-up a mathematic method for classifying the quality of road surface
