The aim of this study was to investigate the adsorption capability of clinoptilolite for T-2 toxin. In experiment were used: A) NaCl water solution (c=0.13 mol/cubic dm) pH 7.0; B) NaCl solution (c=0.03 mol/cubic dm) pH 2.0; C) HCl solution (c=0.10 mol/cubic dm) pH 2.0. T-2 toxin preparations were used in concentrations 0.96 or 1.14 mg per Erlenmayer's flask. Incubation was performed on rotary sheaker (220 rpm) at 37 deg C. Analyzed samples were taken after 10 min (without clinoptilolite) and after 10, 30, 60, 180 and 360 min (with 1.00 g of clinoptilolite per flask). Mycotoxin extraction from 5 ml of experimental mixture was done by ethylacetate, and determination by thin-layer and/or gas-liquid chromatography. The ability of clinoptilolite to adsorb T-2 toxin varied considerably in dependence of solution type and tested pH values. The best result (adsorption 33.33%) was achieved in NaCl solution (c=0.03 mol/cubic dm) pH 2.0. Maximum T-2 toxin adsorption on clinoptilolite in all cases was observed already after 10 min. Process was irreversible in applied experimental conditions.
