The influence of zeolites (clinoptilolite) added in diet for laying hens on egg shell weight and thickness was investigated. There were 1000 laying hens, Isabrown SSL, in experiment, divided into four groups (per 250 hens). Control group did not gain zeolites by diet, while the examined groups of hens gained different levels of zeolites added in diet. Examined group 0-1 0.2%; examined group 0-2 0.3%; and examined group 0-3 0.5% of zeolites. Feeding experiment of laying hens lasted for seven months. The hens were held in cage system. The gained results showed that: there are no significant differences, neither in egg shell weight, nor in egg shell thickness between control and examined groups of laying hens. The least average egg shell weight had hens of 0-1 (2.22%); 0-2 (0.47%); and 0-3 (0.35%) less than control group (P0.05). The smallest egg shell thickness had hens of 0-1 (2.93%), 0-3 (1.77%) and 0-2 (1.49%) less than control group per feeding periods (P0.05).
