Chemical composition and possibilities for application of used bleaching earth in broiler feeding were studied. Bleaching earth was included in experimental mashes at the level of 3%, 5% and 8%. Experimental mashes were balanced on an iso-protein and energy basis. Antioxidant BHT, 0.5 g per 1 kg of used bleaching earth was added. The amounts of bleaching earth applicated in experimental mashes did not have any negative effects on production performances of broilers (final mass, daily weight gain, feed consumption per 1 kg of weight gain) and meat yield and quality (odor, taste, juiciness, softness). The limiting factor for use of this earth is high content of mineral matters in mashes. It was above the prescribed level even in the mash containing 5% of used bleaching earth.
