Higher heating value of the wood and bark of some wood species: poplar (clones I-214 and PE 19/66); willow (cl.378); black locust (cl.R-54), from the plantation of the Poplar Research Institute in Novi Sad, Serbia (Yugoslavia) was determined. Study trees were one and two years old (rooted cuttings) and 8-14 years for older trees.
