Preliminary ichthyofaunistical investigations of the mountain Radan, Sokolovica and the part of Mt. Majdan were performed in the procedure of valorization and definition of the basic nature value of the "Radan" area, Serbia (Yugoslavia). These investigations were fulfilled from June 27 to July 1, 2000. They included streams: the rivers Mala and Velika Kosanica, the Pusta river, the Vujanovacka river, the Jablanica river and the water reservoir Brestovacko jezero on the Pusta river. A presence of 12 fish species which belong to 5 families were recorded, together with the appearance of one Cyclostomata. In relation to the qualitative fish assemblage, the largest number of species were reported for the river Pusta, downstream the water researvoir (7), as well as for the rivers Mala (7) and Velika Kosanica (6).
