A method of economic soybean irrigation has been developed, aimed at obtaining high and stable yields without pesticide application and with minimum fertilization. Proteins and oil produced in that way do not present health hazard. Irrigation schedule according to soil water balance, using thebioclimatic method, has been found to be most acceptable. The elimination of natural water deficit and provision of 480-550 mm of water have permitted the soybean yields of 3.5-4.6 t/ha to be obtained in the local environmental conditions.
