Antagonistic effect of Trichoderma sp. to Monilia spp. was tested in vitro, (using PDA medium) and in vivo (using apple fruits). Six isolates from genus Monilia and three Trichoderma isolates were used. Trichoderma isolates showed antagonistic effect to Monilia laxa and Monilia fructigena in both cases (in vitro and in vivo). Spraying method was more effective than using colony fragment of antagonist. During in vivo experiments, preventive spraying of apple fruit with antagonists showed better results than inoculation with pathogen and antagonist at the same time.
