The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of vaccination with live vaccine against bovine ringworm. The experiment was conducted on calves in a ringworm-free herd of Bohemian Red Pied cattle. The vaccine was prepared from a two-week-old culture of Trichophyton verrucosum. The vaccinated calves showed safisfactory protection against experimental dermatophytic infection. Vaccines prepared from cultures of the same strain aged 37, 65, or 92 days were less effective.
