Measuring of physico-chemical characteristics of plant environment, an essential condition of profitable vegetable production
2001
Szungyi, G.
Physical characteristics are easily measured by simple measurement inside and outside the growing facility like glasshouse or plastic tunnel. Measuring of chemical characteristics of the environment like EC or pH needs more preparation and sophisticated equipments. Electrical conductivity (EC) is defined by the ability of a solution to conduct electric current. The relationship between the amount of solids such as salts found in fertilizers is directly proportional to their conductivity.
