Botrytis diseases in greenhouse growing of vegetables
2001
Glits, M.
Botrytis disease provokes rot on stem and lateral shoots of peppers, on leaves, stem and fruit of tomatoes and on fruit of cucumber. Lettuce plants die due to neck rot. Losses may be greately mitigated by observing crop management programmes. In case of emergency, however treatments have to be carried out with the botricides recommended and registered in the particular crop to prevent infection.
