Generally, physical examination is suitable to decide whether a cardiac problem is present or not in our canine patient. If cardiac murmur can be detected echocardiography is the best method to reveal the anomaly. In cases of audible rhythm disturbances an ECG should be performed to reveal the type of arrhythmia.
