Genetic divergence analysis was employed in 13 mulberry species being maintained at Central Sericultural Germplasm Resources Center, Hosur. Twenty six characters were considered for the study. Six different clustering were employed to group the mulberry species into different clusters. Maximum number of clusters (7) were observed with Tocher's method (TD) whereas Single Linkage Method (SLD) grouped the species into 6 clusters. Minimum number of clusters (4) was observed in Ward's Minimum Variance Method (WMVD) followed by Weighted Average Linkage (WALD) and Complete Linkage Methods (CLD). Though the clusters produced with different methods varied in number (4 to 6, 7) the mulberry species tend to group in similar fashion irrespective of geographical origin and distribution. Thus, based on the results, the suitable clustering technique i.e., WMVD may be adopted to fulfill the purpose, for which the mulberry species are grouped
