[Effect of NPK fertilizers on rice in tidal swampland]
1999
Raihan, S. (Balai Penelitian Tanaman Pangan Lahan Rawa Banjarbaru (Indonesia))
Tidal swampland in Indonesia is potential to optimize rice production increase, but rice planting is limited for only once per year. One of the problems is optimizing land utilization to increase yield of rice is low content of N, P and K. This experiment was conducted in Danda Jaya, South Kalimantan from December 1997 to April 1998, the cultivar used was IR66. The experiment was arranged in a randomized block design with three replications and treatments were combination of NPK, FMP, and urea dosages. The results showed that NPK 15-15-15 and NPK 24-6-12 fertilization on fallow acid sulphate tidal swampland high increased yield of rice compared to control. In order to get higher rice yield about 4.03 ton/ha in fallow land, dosages 125 kg/ha NPK 24-6-12 combine with FMP 100 kg/ha and urea 100 kg/ha were needed. Control gave yield about 2,62 ton/ha
