Earthworm plays an important role in organic matter breakdown and improves soil porosity. Eathworm population was dependent on soil characteristics, so this study is aimed to find the relationship between soil characteristics and biomass and earthworm population. The concentration of humic acid (HA), fulvic acid (FA) and soil clay content were the dominant factors for the earthworm population as shown by the high values of r=-0.991 and 0.901. However, in terms of biomass, the dominant factors were the HA/FA ratio, r = 0.920
