Soil Phosphorus Test Calibration for Soils in Corn Production Centers in South Sulawei conducted in the RIMOC laboratory and greenhouse. The experiments used five main soil types taken from corn production centers in South Sulawesi. Inceptisols type collected from three locations i.e. Bulukumba, Bone, and Bantaeng regions. The other four soils Vertisols, Oxisols, and Ultisols were collected from Jeneponto, Takalar, Bulukumba and Bone region, respectively. The objectives of the experiment was to determine the best extractant for soil phosphorus determination of the main soil types in the corn production centers of South Sulawesi. Five soil-P extractants tested were Bray 1, Bray 2, Olsen, North Carolina and Truog. Soil from each location were collected from two different sites and tested apart each other. In the green house, two treatments were applied i.e. 120 N + 0 P2O5 + 90 K2O and 120 N + 90 P2O5 + 90 K2O equivalent/ha. Urea, TSP, and KCl were used as N, P and K sources. Linear regression analysis was used to test correlations among the four extractants and yield of corn. Results of the experiment showed that Olsen as well as Bray No. 2 methods of extractants used for available soil-P analysis gave highly significant correlations in four out of five yield data observed (80 percent). Bray No. 1 gave highly significant correlations in two out of five yields data (40 percent). The Truog method did not produce observable data resulted in no correlation analysis were made. It can be concluded that the Olsen and Bray No. 2 methods for soil-P analysis were the best methods for different soils in maize production centers in South Sulawesi. They were insentive to the chemically differences of the soils. The phosphorus content of the soils tested ranged between very low to low
