The compatibility of carbofuran, mustard and neem cakes with Pasteuria penetrans was studied. The number of nematodes in different development stages after 15 and 30 days of inoculation revealed that minimum number of nematodes could penetrate the host roots when Pasteuria was applied with carbofuran. The subsequent development of the juveniles from one stage to another was slowest with maximum number of nematodes in J2 and J3 stage even after 15 days of inoculation, followed by both the treatments where Pasteuria was applied with neem and mustard cakes. Number of healthy cysts, eggs/cyst and total nematode population were significantly reduced when Pasteuria was applied with carbofuran. On the other hand, maximum count of infected cysts were also recorded in the same treatment. Carbofuran when applied with P. penetrans was found to be quite compatible and the most effective treatment in controlling population of H. cajani. The performance of neem and mustard cake when applied with Pasteuria was better but were more or less at par with the treatments where Pasteuria and carbofuran were applied alone.
