Management of collar rot disease (Aspergillus niger) in groundnut with Trichoderma spp
2001
Rao, S.K.T. | Sitaramaiah, K. (Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University, Triupati (India). S V Agricultural College)
The growth of Aspergillus niger in presence of Trichoderma koningii was least followed by T. harzianum and T. hamatum in in vitro conditions. In pot culture experiments and field trials, seed + soil treatment with Trichoderma spp showed reduction in collar rot disease incidence and improved the growth parameters of groundnut viz., number of seeds per plant, 100 seed weight, shelling per cent, harvest index, pod yield, dry shoot and root weight.
