2000
Verma, A.K. | Pandey, N. | Tripathi, R.S. (Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Raipur (India). Dept. of Agronomy)
A field experiment on sunflower was conducted during the winter season of 1996-97 at Raipur. The dry matter accumulation throughtout crop growth period was significantly higher at 0.8 IW/CPE than that of other treatments. Whereas, leaf number, leaf area, light interception and seed yield obtained at irrigation scheduled of 0.6 IW/CPE was similar to that of 0.8 IW/CPE. The urea treated with nitrification inhibitor was applied at the rate of 60 kg N/ha produced dry matter (DM), leaf number, leaf area, light interception and seed yiedl similar to that of 80 kg N/ha applied without treating with nitrification inhibitor (NIH).
