A popular bivoltine silkworm breed, KPGB x P5, was reared on three commonly grown varieties namely SI, TR10 and Kosen during three seasons like spring (February-March), autumn (October-Novermber) and summer (May-June). The combined effect of season and mulberry varieties was studied by evaluation of rearing parameters, yield and quality of cocoon, Wide gap between yield and quality of varieties tried under present studies needs qualitative improvement of higher yielding varieties through cultural manipulation to minimize the gap.
