There were 21 species of fungi present in organic rice fields and 16 species were found in inorganic rice-fields. Penicillium sp. got the highest density, relative density, dominance, relative dominance and species importance value in organic rice-fields. On the other hand, Pythium ultimum and P. aperdatum were found to have the highest value of density, dominance and species importance value in inorganic rice-fields. Population of fungi between organic and inorganic rice fields varied both in kinds and in number. Organic rice-fields have more kinds of fungal organisms and greater population than inorganic rice-fields. Moreover, results showed that fungi in both ricefields are less diverse
