2001
Brana, N.A. Jr | Clamohoy, L.L. | Gerpacio, C.P.
The study was conducted to compare the effects of corn, Alabang X and paragrass-centrosema silages on the quality and quantity of milk and lactating cows, and to find out which of the three or a combination of them is the most palatable silage for dairy cows. Results showed that the consumption of corn silage (29 kg) and that of mixed silage (25.8 kg) were significantly higher than that of para-centrosema (21.5 kg) and that of Alabang X (20 kg). Milk production, butterfat and solids-non-fat tests did not significantly differ between treatments.
