2001
Ordinario, P.L. | Turk, K.L. | Nazareno, L.E.
During a 12-week feeding period ten growing dairy heifers (8 Holstein x Red Sindhi and 2 purebred Red Sindhi) grouped into two lots fed with different concentrate mixtures, one containing 31 percent copra meal and the other containing 31 percent corn gluten to replace the copra meal, showed similar growth rate. The results indicated that corn gluten feed has the same feeding value as copra meal and can be used for growing dairy animals in place wher e it is available at prices not exceeding that of copra meal.
