Twenty elite chickpea lines including two check varieties were evaluated (for seed yield and its attributes) for correlations and path coefficient analysis in a randomized completed block design with three replications. Seed yield was positively correlated with all the traits except days to maturity and plant height. Number of seeds per pod had maximum positive direct effect on seed yield. The present study revealed that selection be made with optimistic compromise between number of seeds per pod, number of primary branches, number of secondary branches, number of pods per plant and plant weight.
