Evaluation of six exotic rose cultivars by three different pruning intensities

Six exotic rose cultivars viz. Engelique, Canadia, Champagne, Double delight, Love and Paradise were tested to see the effect of three different pruning intensities on the growth and yield of rose. Love and Double Delight proved to be the best regarding early sprouting, early flowering, maximum number of branches/plant, maximum number of flower/plant, maximum number of petals/flower, maximum flower size and late fading character. Among different pruning intensities, 18 inches pruning level was the best for early flowering, maximum height, maximum branches/plant, maximum flower size and number of petals/plant.
