Conditions of sugar beet seed from the view of injury at seeding

The work is aimed at a study on the influence of some physical and mechanical characteristics of sugar beet seeds on its injury at seedin using different seeding mechanisms. The were used the seeding mechanisms working on mechanic and pneumatic principles of filling the seed, namely Meca 2000 (with internal filling of scooping openings), Selecta 585 (with external filling of scooping openings), Monosem PNU (underpressure seeding mechanisms) and Becker SE4-049 (gauge pressure seeding mechanisms) were tested in the trial. The results of measurements indicate on a different intensity of seed injury, depending on their physical and mechanical characteristics and a type of seeding mechanism
