Falling number of the winter wheat at three localities of Slovakia in year 2001

We have tested 18 varieties of winter wheat in three localities with different rainfall intensity (from maturity stage to harvest) Bucany (17.2 mm), Sladkovicovo (71.5 mm) and Maly Saris (116.2 mm). It seems that falling number will be very important character at registration of the winter wheat newly-bred varieties. There is also possibility to exercise provoking tests. The newly-bred varieties with lower falling number than 180 sec. (in grist) at simulation of rainfall in 70.0 mm could not be included into growing
