Studies in nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium and magnesium contents in effluent from 3 sizes of swine farms (large, medium and small) were carry out in all seasons for one year by collected effluent samples from 9 farms, at point source, treatment pond and effluent point there were 3 samples per farm or 27 samples per season in April, August, and December 1996. Total nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium and magnesium contents in effluent were highest in small farms than medium and large farms respectively. Maximum content was highest at point source and it had over the standard of fresh water qualities of Thailand, so that could be impact to the environment, especially Bang Pakong river. All of their parameters in effluent of swine farms were depend on farm management. If it had good management and high efficiency treatment system all of parameters contents in effluent would had less than poor management. For this study, the result could be support in considering wastewater treatment system for establishment swine estate of Changwat Chachoengsao.
