2001
Dimitrijevic, S.
In the first chapter the author, through a lot of data contained in numerous analytical tables considers the structural changes in the agriculture, by analysing 1) the household's structure according to size, 2) changes in the population structure depending on the household's size, and 3) changes in the participation of households of various size in the entire agricultural areas. Thereby very considerable differences are stated, alike among considered basic territorial unities in Serbia (Serbia proper, Autonomous Kosovo-Metohija region and Autonomous Province Vojvodina) and in subsequent comparisons among the lower territorial units-regions within the framework of Serbia proper. The second part of the study is dedicated to the analysis of the socialistic transformation of agriculture, i.e. to the creation and development of the socialistic sector. A considerable part of the study, both in respect to its scope and its contents, is dedicated to the analysis of the labour force and to the production intensity, or to the answer to the question what are the estates possessing over 10 ha, i.e. whether the estates riches in land, are simulataneously "Kulak estates". In rest of the chapters analysed in detail is the technical equipment of the private agricultural households. The last chapter is the concluding detailed and very interesting analysis of big estates characteristics from the aspect of the their production intesity, from the aspect of their size and wealth. In the closing considerations the author, besides pointing out some mentioned characteristic results of the analysis, took up in an objective and unbiased manner the review of the positive and negative results of the "anti-kulak policy".
