Three specimens of Tachinus flavolimbatus (Staphylinidae, Tachyporinae) were found in pitfall traps in a beech wood of the Haute-Ardenne (Province of Liege, in the East of Belgium). This finding not only confirms the recent discovery of the insect on the Belgian territory, but represents for the species, his most Northeastern European known data. The ecology and determination criteria of the species are briefly exposed. Some particularities of its biogeographical distribution are discussed.
