The black grouse relictual population of the French Ardennes is at its brought level and is no more in continuity with the population of Belgium and Netherlands. The management policy of the Forestry National Office is mainly reoriented in favour of Bonasia bonasia, but some measures are also valuable to guarantee food and cover for both, and should be useful for black grouse.
