Dependence of the tecnological properties of cigarettes on the characteristics of cut tobacco

The correlation between the basic characteristics of cut tobacco and those of cigarettes has been studied. The influence of cut tobacco fibres' width on the density (resp. cigarette output and weight), deformation, draw resistance and loose ends of cigarettes has been investigated, as well as the impact of cut tobacco fractionating on its filling power. It has been observed a distinct effect of fibres' width on cigarette weight, big-size fiber fraction and cigarette draw resistance.
