Dynamics of the morphological and functional state of the lungs in experimental rats after separate and combined repeated external gamma-irradiation and incorporation of 137Cs was analyzed. It was shown that the external irradiation at a dose of 1.0 Gy and administration of 137Cs in the amount of 160 and 320 kBq, as well as the combined effect of the two exposures resulted in some morphological changes in the lungs and disturbances in local defense functions of the organ
