[Practical use of metabolic profile tests]

This article summarizes the principles of metabolic profile tests and presents the results of biochemical and haematological analyses of blood samples taken in a cow after parturition with metabolic disbalances. The use of special softwares METAB and METEOR for data processing is described. Besides this, the lower and upper normal limits of the most important biochemical parameters of dog, cat, cow, horse, and swine used in the Veterinary Clinic at Pardubice (Czech Republic) are listed.
