Steccherinum albidum: a new species from southern England

The hydnoid, corticoid fungus Steccherinum albidum (Basidiomycota) is described as new from West Sessex in southern England. Basidiomes are whitish when fresh, resupinate to pileate, and are microscopically distinct in having unusually small, suballantoid basidiospores.
