The aim of the study was to find the optimum concentration of lysine (Lys) and threonine (Thre) in compound feeds for lactating sows in relation to the milk composition and growth of piglets. Four groups of sows were fed compound feeds ad libitum with Lys and Thre concentrations varying from 8.36 to 15.19 g/kg and from 5.22 to 9.85 g/kg, respectively. The results show that Lys and Thre concentrations as well as protein concentrations in sows' milk are influenced by Lys and Thre concentrations in the feed, especially at the beginning of the lactation. The milk composition influences weight gains of the piglets and weight losses of the sows.
