One of the cornerstones of the intensive production systems for vegetables on the open field is the use of plastic mulch. One of the main objectives in using plastic mulch is the increased soil temperature. Raised bed combined with black mulch nowadays is gaining more and more importance in Hungary. The objective of this research was to evaluate the effect of black PE mulch and raised bed on growth, flowering and earliness of kapia type sweet pepper and on soil temperature.
